Retro Rooms: Arnaud in Chambery, France

Note all articles are independently researched and written by myself. However, if you buy via one of the links it may be an affiliate and I may earn a small commission.

Well, we asked for your Retro Rooms and you've not let us down. So kicking off the return of Retro Rooms is this set of shots from reader Arnaud, who is based in Chambery, France.

Arnaud describes his interior as having a 'space age feel', as you probably guessed. Some really nice touches too in an interior that mixes the old (including classics like the Ball Chair, Tulip table and stylish period light fittings) alongside the new.

That includes a five-metre, self-made storage unit in the living room, some lovely period light fittings, the bold self-painted wall mural, coloured themes (like the orange room in the bottom photo), a kitchen with self-made panel covered in a Barbara Brown fabric from the 1960s and of course, the accessory that every home needs – a dog. Love that fireplace too.

See all the images above and below, which might well give you some inspiration. If it inspires you to end us some shots of your interior, please do that too. You can email us here.
