An iPad case doesn't have to be dull, it could look like this DuMont wooden iPad mini case by Jeffrey Stephenson.

It is, as you might have guessed, inspired by a 1950s television set. Basically, this is a wooden casing, mixed with an iPad mini and a Jawbone Jambox miniature speaker (which presumably hides behind that woven speaker grille). All of that comes together to create your own mini TV – as long as you can get some TV service on your iPad (which shouldn't be a problem with an app or two).

Downside? You can't buy one online, although the maker (Jeffrey Stephenson) is taking enquiries should there be enough demand to create a series. You can contact him (and see more) at his website.
