As there’s a potential heatwave coming for some parts of the UK, we thought it might be a good idea to focus on a few hot weather finds. We’ll kick off with the Hogsten outdoor armchair at Ikea.
As far as we can work out, this is a new design rather than one of the midcentury reissues that Ikea has stocked of late. But it does have the look of that era, inspired by the wing back chair as well as classic rattan chairs.
Indeed, it pretty much is that, a hand-woven rattan chair, but using a plastic weave, which looks like the real thing but is more durable for outdoor spaces.
