A timeless design, although the Ginnie Coat at Hobbs does lean very much towards the 1960s.
It’s a winner regardless of inspiration at this time of year, but if you want something with a hint of the 1960s, possibly early 1970s, then this might be for you. Especially if the idea of a vivid orange appeals.
As for the design, it’s a classic double breasted coat with half belt to define the waist plus horn-effect buttons and parallel top stitch detailing. As for the material, that’s described as being ‘rich in wool’.
