Unashamedly retro and screaming the era, this Tatum 1960s belted dress at Joanie is a design to get you noticed.

The thing I’m most amazed about here is that it’s from a mainstream retailer. Although I really shouldn’t be. So much of the Joanie range is retro.

You might recall the Joanie x Horrockses Fashions vintage-style dresses I featured earlier in the year, as well as the Dawn O’Porter X Joanie 1960s dresses (plus some 1970s ones) from last year. Although the latter range has been updated this year if you fancy a look.

The one benefit of being from a more mainstream seller is that the size range is much wider (in this case, 8 through to 26), and you can get it ‘off the peg’ rather than waiting for it to be delivered. Which is useful if you want it urgently for a night out.

And this one is in stock now in two colour variations. Pitched as a ‘60s-inspired mini, it’s a dress designed to get you noticed but also to be comfy enough for day or night wear.

It is made of a thick jersey fabric with a distinctly retro (and ’60s-inspired) print, detailed with a high neckline with a stand collar, short sleeves, functional belt loops, and a matching removable belt with an oversized round buckle.

Both colours are available online, and both sell for £60. Also, plenty of other 1960s-style designs there right now. Do have a look. I think you might get an initial discount if you sign up for the Joanie newsletter, too.
