Shepard Fairey introduces a limited edition Nico print

He's oen of the cool names of the art world in 2010 – and Shepard Fairey has now decided to immortalise a 60s pop icon in canvas with this limited edition Nico print, released under his Obey monicker.

From Velvet Underground and Andy Warhol collaborator to model, actress and former girlfriend of John Cooper Clarke, she is captured here her 1960s prime and in distinctive Obey style on an 18 x 24-inch screenprint, which is being sold in a limited run of 450.

It's available to buy from Thursday (10th June), priced at $65. Sure to sell out quickly.

Robots in Love Print

The Robots in Love Print is a design by London-based South African designer, is Luzelle van der Westhuizen, who creates products featuring geometric and hand-drawn patterns under the name of Mengsel.

Combining a pair of retro-looking robots, with hearts, birds and a tree, the design owes something to Scandinavian folk art and the work of Alexander Girard. The print is available in a choice of red, green or neon pink.

 It is sold unframed, but apparently is the right size to fit Ikea’s Ribba frames.  It is available to buy from Felt and Wire Shop, priced $43 (under £30).

Mondrian-inspired Mondri mug by Frank Kerdil

Mondri

Piet Mondrian has always inspired plenty of designers but there seems to be a rush of products influence by his art recently, from the Mondrian table range to the Piet tables. Add to that list the Mondri mug by Frank Kerdil. 

Like the vase Kerdil designed with the same name, he's used the strong lines and colour associated with the artist's work on a new product. In this case it's a sturdy looking, handle-less mug, complete with a silicon ring for adding practicality. It's one of several mugs by Kerdil new in at Panik Design, all of which have a strong graphic look that Mondrian would surely also have approved of. 

The mugs are also a cheaper way to buy into the look than many of the other options, costing only £10.

Eames Arrow serigraph print at House Industries

A tribute to the iconic imagery of Charles and Ray Eames with the Eames Arrow serigraph print, available at House Industries.

Packed with a plethora of arrows in red on an off-white background, the print is specifically a tribute to the Eames' legacy and to House Industries' new Eames Century Modern Collection.

In terms of the print, it has been hand printed by David Dodde, it is individually numbered and it is printed onto 130# acid-free cover weight paper. Sized at 660mm x 508mm, it sells for $40.

Classic Faber and Faber covers at Art Meets Print

Faber good dishes

A while ago we wrote about Faber Firsts, new covers of classic Faber and Faber novels, done in styles that echoed the company's 80 years of publishing. Now you can go back to some of their original book jacket designs with these prints available at Art Meets Print. 

They've pulled out some gems from the Faber and Faber archive to reproduce, including this jacket design for 'Good Dishes from Tinned Foods' by Ambrose Heath, just one from the extensive food and drink section. There's also a selection of poetry covers available, featuring the original Pentagram designs. 

Prices depending on the size of your print and whether you choose to have it on canvas or paper. They start at £34.95 for a 30 x 20cm print on canvas of one of the designs and go up to £299 for a 90 x 137.5cm canvas.
