Lewis1

All images (c) Stephen King

It's amazing to think that in the centre of modern-day Liverpool, there's a small pocket of the 1950s still in existence. You can find out all about it in Lewis’s Fifth Floor: A Department Story at the National Conservation Centre Whitechapel, Liverpool.

Running from 26th February until 30th August 2010, Lewis’s Fifth Floor: A Department Story is a photography exhibition by Stephen King, featuring images taken in one of the UK’s oldest department stores, Lewis’s. King has visited the store’s ‘lost’ fifth floor, closed to the public for the last three decades. Lomography introduces Fisheye 2 Pink camera for Valentine’s Day

Pink_fisheye

What is it about pink things and Valentine's Day? You can't move for the stuff. But at least the bold shade of pink here covers something pretty hip – the Lomography Fisheye 2 camera.

Yes, the world's only 35mm compact fisheye camera has a new paint job, but it's still the same quirky camera, snapping 180-degree circular shots, throwing in a removable fisheye viewfinder too, so you can see the world as the fishes see it.

It's also equipped with a switch for long and multiple exposures and has the option of adding a Colorsplash or Diana flash. If your loved one loves pink, you can buy her this for £45. Or simply treat yourself.

The show features fifty of Kelly's outfits ranging from her time as a Hollywood starlet in the 1950s to her role as Princess Grace of Monaco. The dresses include costumes from her famous films such as High Society and Rear Window, as well as clothes that illustrate her off-screen style, and will be supplemented with photographs and film footage. The display also includes perhaps her most lasting contribution to the world of fashion, the original Hermes Kelly bag.
