Fuse Can Lights – lighting made from Heinz Beanz cans and Campbell’s Soup cans

Can1

To be honest, the title pretty much says it all, with these Can Lights by Fuse being just that.

Yes, lights from discarded and salvaged cans, specifically Heinz Beanz cans and Campbell's Soup cans. With the help of Dublin's many restaurants and cafés who collect the tin cans, these everyday waste objects are turned into eye-catching yet functional pendant lights. Think of it as your very own piece of ceiling pop art.

Great on their own, even better as a set of three – which is why they're discounted if you go for the three. See an image of the Beanz tins over the page, with all selling for £80 each (or less with that multiple discount) complete with three core textile cable and recycled tuna can ceiling rose.

Made in Japan and sold in very limited numbers in an olive colourway, it sells for £475.

eBay watch: Original 1970s Pan Am shoulder bag

Panam

Yes, you can find copies and reissues, but this is an original 1970s Pan Am shoulder bag – and original is always best.

Described as '100% old vintage original', it is sold in 'above average condition', with any wear from storage rather than use. The zip (which works) has the PAA Logo on it and the shape is certainly distinctive, complete with what looks like an extendable strap.

Cheap enough too – just £1.29 right now.

Space 1999 TV series to be released on Blu-ray by Network

Space1999

It's probably the TV series we talk about the most on this site. Indeed, we mentioned it this week relating to the classic Guzzini Sorella lamp. So you can see why we're excited about Space 1999 being issued on Blu-ray for the very first time by Network.

A product of the 70s and packing more space age design than a high-end Chelsea retailer in 1973, the Gerry Anderson-produced show (as the title suggests) was actually set from September 13th, 1999 – a nuclear waste dump explodes, blasting the Moon and Moonbase Alpha out of Earth's orbit and into a world of weird and wonderful, 70s-styled aliens and space hangouts.

Adidas Trimm-Trab trainers get a colourful reissue

Trimm1

A minor classic from the 1970s is back in a bold finish – the Adidas Trimm-Trab trainers.

Loosely translated as 'keep yourself fit', this 1977 shoe was as popular on the terraces as it was in the gym. Possibly more so. Anyway, it's back with a suede upper, indented contrast sole unit abd a bright colour scheme that mixes orange and blue, throwing in a silver foil print name on the side.

Online now, you can secure a pair for £54.99. A different shot over the page.
