Offside table football-style hanger by LADP

Offside

Don't just hang your coat just anywhere – hang it on the Offside hanger by LADP.

Yes, based on a classic table football game (also known as foosball in some parts), it's the work of Norwegian designer Runa Klock, who has matched up larger versions of the little men, fixing them to a stainless steel or white lacquered aluminium frame.

Choose from red, green, blue or yellow for the colours, with the price at £47.14.

1960s Flora Folio pendant light by Piet Hein

Flora

I think this is called statement lighting. Unfortunately, the Flora Folio Pendant Light by Piet Hein comes with a statement price tag too.

Designed back in 1969, the aluminium and glass Flora Folio is designed to look like a large flower, with those 'leaves' looking good to the eye and also offering 'a perfect reflection of light'. It's very big too, produced for a large room, with a size of 65cm in height and a diameter of 60cm. Owners of low ceilings can walk away now.

But if you have a big room and a big wallet to match, you can pick up the Flora Folio pendant light for £3,399.

COAL Design Horrice Chair

CD_horrice_1large
The Horrice Chair was created by COAL Design in association with the Hidden Art Shop for this year’s 100% Design event. So in that respect, it is very much a new design, but its shape is very much in the mid-century style.

Its frame is made from interlocking sections of Walnut veneered MDF, whilst the seat is upholstered in wool in a choice of colours, including the unusual lemon yellow option pictured here. The back cushion has four buttons in a contrasting colour, a sweet little finishing touch. The chair is made in Sheffield with all of the materials sourced within Yorkshire.

The Horrice chair costs £599 and can be ordered through the Hidden Art Shop website.

Wish You Were Here – 1960s London tourist map by Herb Lester Associates

London1

Some of you might recall the vintage-style London maps by Herb Lester Associates we featured a short while back. Well, Herb Lester Associates are back to take us on another trip, this time back in time with the Wish You Were There map.

It's a map of central London boutiques, coffee bars, clubs and other diversions that were around between 1960 and 1966. There are 130 entries, each with a street address and description, ranging from the obvious names – The Flamingo, Marquee, Scene for example to lesser known places like Roger Roger, Wild West Won and Fireman Jack. All addresses have been checked using contemporary sources such as magazines, music papers, and Kellys directories. So if you want to know exactly where on Old Compton Street Sportique was, it's now as flipping out your map.

This map is bigger than previous maps at A2, so the price is a little more too. Saying that, you can pick this one up for just £4 including postage, which is a real bargain. Another image over the page.

Pac-Man limited edition Moleskine

Moleskine
To add to the long list of Pac-Man products we've featured recently, here the game features on a limited edition Moleskin notebook.

Produced to mark the 30th anniversary of Pac-Man, you can take your pick from two different sizes, each containing 192 lined pages. Executed in the black and yellow you'd associate with the game, the smaller notebook is decorated with pixellated imagery from the game while the larger notebook's cover is embossed with a version of the game screen. Both notebooks come complete with a Ghost lurking in the inside cover and a set of Pac-Man sticker inserts.

The smaller notebook is £11.99 while you can buy the larger notebook for £14.99. A stocking filler for an ex-gamer possibly?

Cole & Son 1950s Tropical Birds wallpaper

Cole_birds

Cole & Son has been producing wallpapers for over 300 years, so you would expect the company to have a pretty decent archive. It has – and the new Frontier collection of wallpaper is sourced from it.

According to the company, the new collection is based on a bygone era of 'exotic travel and discovery'. All the archive designs have been re-coloured for the modern market and all are incredibly eye-catching designs.

The one above is typical. It's called Tropical Birds and is an original 1950s design by Una Lindsey – those birds available in a range of colours from off white to emerald green. if you want a roll, it retails online for £65.
