A very long title for a fairly minimalist light – the Bulbo and Bulbone wall and ceiling lamp by Barbieri and Marianelli.
Designed back in 1983 and produced by Tronconi, it's a wall and ceiling light constructed in grey painted metal, with a diffuser in pressed acid etched glass.
Regular readers will remember that we featured the AK-LH redesign of the Henry Massonet Tam Tam stool. Well, here's another reworking of that 60s classic – the chromed Tam Tam stool.
It's a high-end remix of the original look, nothing changing with that ABS-constructed shape, but everything changing in finish, now 'metallized' in a choice of shades including copper, silver, gold, titanium and glitter pink.
Obviously that luxurious finish bumps the price up a bit, but this Tam Tam is still affordable at just over £70.
It's cold outside and the sales are on – so the Bisque Classic Radiator fits in on both counts.
Yes, a vintage-style radiator that should prove a stylish replacement for the rather dull ones you might current have in your home. They're available in wall and floor-mounted designs and of course, in different sizes. But it's the colour options that really set these designs apart.
As you might have guessed, the Bisque Classic Radiator range is in the sale (at least, it is at Nest), with prices starting at just over £130.
We do like a number of Dwell's 'almost but not quite' takes on design classics – and many of those are now available in the Dwell sale.
Like all sales, the markdowns are variable, as is the stock in the sale, but this high gloss square dining table comes out positively on both counts. A 70s-style table, it offers up a pedestal base, a black gloss lacquer finish and a decent amount of space for a small group dining.
It's £135 (down from £229). Check it out (and the other sale items) online right now.
Another place to pick up some retro bargains is John Lewis, which is currently having a clearance sale across the whole store.
There's some good men's fashion markdowns, including the likes of Baracuta and Fred Perry, along with a number of pea coats for half price. But if you're after some interiors bargains, check out the lighting and furniture. The 1930-style Madison table light is one such markdown, formally £100, the polished chrome lamp is now on offer at £47.50, making it something of a steal.
Check out this and the rest of the markdowns online right now.
One of the great things about the net is the option to do the sales online, saving the hassle of getting stuck in the post-Christmas traffic. So if you don't fancy checking out Heals in person, you can check out the Heals sale online.
Plenty of bargains too, taking in some both high end items (like an Orla Kiely large table for £345 from £695) or accessories like wall clocks at up to 50 per cent.
But if you want some seriously designer gear at discount, check out the Pierre Paulin Pumpkin armchair for Ligne Roset, a space age gem from 1971 in leather and now available with around £300 off for the chair (£1,386.35) and around £130 off the stool (£729.30).
