Jocelyn Proust handpainted tiles

Proust set-of-3-blue-flower-tiles

Jocelyn Proust's handpainted tiles have a distinctive 1970s feel. The floral designs above are typical of her bright and colourful work which also features more naturally inspired patterns including leaves and birds.

These tiles measure 100 x 200mm each and are ready mounted for display with a hanging on the back of each one. Jocelyn is based in Australia so each tile costs $30 AUD but you'll need to add shipping onto that.

London Vintage book by Editions Paumes

Londonvintage

We like Bodie & Fou, it digs up some real leftfield gems when it comes to art and design. But this time, the retailer has a rather interesting book – London Vintage by Editions Paumes.

Described as 'the ultimate guide to the capital’s most sought after antique, vintage and second-hand addresses', it claims to offer some 'best-kept secret' vintage shops, everything from antiques, architectural salvage and homeware through to fashion and accessories over 128 boldly-coloured pages.

Downside? Well, Editions Paumes is a Japanese publisher, so the key details are in English, the images are universal, but the detail is in the Japanese language. If you can live with that, you can bag this gem for £20.

George Nelson 1940s Bubble wall lamp range

Nelson_wall

We've seen the pendant reissues of these a while back, but not the George Nelson Bubble lamp range are now available as wall lamps.

Very stylish too. First seen in 1947, they were produced by Howard Miller in several variations from the early 50s through to 1979, with these reissues made to the original specifications and using the original Howard Miller tooling. That includes a walnut wall mount, an extendable brushed nickel arm, adjustable plug-in cord and counterweight.

Choose from the Ball, Cigar and Saucer designs, with prices at £415. See one of the other designs over the page.

Pinupwrap

Hopefully we provide our readers with plenty of ideas for retro gifts, but what about gift wrap? Crumpet and Skirt (a contender for the best company name this month) has produced this great Pin Up Wrapping Paper.

It is available in a choice of white or green, both of which feature images of saucy retro ladies, tastefully attired in vintage undies and other coquettish poses.

The paper costs £2.50 per sheet. A full list of stockists can be found on the Crumpet and Skirt website, including Lilis Boutique who have the paper to buy online.

Max Ingrand Fontana 1950s table light range

Ingrand

Designed back to the 50s, the Max Ingrand Fontana table light range is pretty much perfectly described as a timeless classic.

It could be from any era from the 1930s to the modern day, but the Fontana was designed by Ingrand back in 1958, a white-painted metal frame with a lamp shade and globe in white, satined, blown glass, finished off with a black power flex and switch.

Prices start at £322.99.
