eBay watch: Braun PS 2 record turntable by Dieter Rams

Rams_deck

Only one bid as yet, making this Braun PS 2 record turntable by Dieter Rams something of a steal.

Designed by Rams back in 1963, it's a classic piece of modernist-inspired Braun (and Rams) design for vinyl playback at 16, 33 and 45 speeds. it's described as being in 'full working order' and in 'excellent overall condition'. Age has played a part, so check the full details and images before you bid.

But it is worth bidding if you like this kind of thing – right now it's only £1.

eBay watch: 1960s Luigi Colani space age hanging lamp

Lucio

Some designs simply scream the era – like this Luigi Colani hanging lamp for example.

An example of bold 60s space age design, it's a vision in yellow and described by the seller as 'pretty rare' as well as 'very good' in terms of condition.

What else is there to say? You'll know by now if you love or loathe it. If you're one of the former, right now it's selling for just over £10.

eBay watch: Early 60s Jaguar Mk II car

Jag

Ever fancied yourself as a villain in a 1960s British crime flick? We have the car for you – this Jaguar Mk II.

Dating back to 1963, the hefty chunk of tax-exempt metal on offer packs a 3400cc engine, guaranteeing that quick getaway should you need one. It's also got plenty of authenticity, judging by the photos on the site, which could mean you'll need to do a bit of work to maintain and renovate it if you want it as a show car.

But on the plus side, it's only had two owners from new, it is 'up and running' and right now, it isn't going to set you back much cash. The current price is £1,551. See the listing for the full technical breakdown.

eBay watch: Early 1960s shelf unit with Jacqueline Groag-designed panels

Groag

A real gem of a design on eBay right now that's certain to appeal to lovers of the late 50s and early 60s-  this shelf unit with Jacqueline Groag-designed panels.

Check out the full listing to see those Warerite (formica) Alexandretta pattern panels close up, I don't think the image above really does them justice. You might well have seen them elsewhere too – they have been widely featured in period design books.

They form part of a unit that stands around 3ft high, with 'excellent original condition' confirmed by the seller. £50 is the starting price, with no bids on the book as yet. Could end up as a real bargain.

eBay watch: Braun Phase One alarm clock by Dieter Rams

Braun

Interesting piece of design on eBay right now, with the Braun Phase One alarm clock currently looking something of a steal.

Designed by the legendary Dieter Rams and Dietrich Lubs back in 1971, it's a minimalist, flip-style alarm clock in black and white, that alarm being a buzzer, as you might expect.

According to the seller, the body surface is 'glossy and free of scuffs and scratches' and is currently being offered at just 99 pence. Like I said, something of a steal.

eBay watch: 1960s Alan Wallwork tiled coffee table

Tiled

Something different, quirky, you could say kitsch – this Alan Wallwork tiled coffee table.

Alan Wallwork is the name of the person who created the tiles that adorn the top of the table. The seller presumably doesn't know who made the table, but the two were obviously put together in the 1960s. Indeed, if you're after a 60s look to a room, this would fit the bill perfectly.

Described as being in 'good condition for the age', it has some minor marking to the base of a leg, but nothing much worse. It can be yours for £19.99.
