You may have noticed the mirror hanging above the Domino Sideboard we featured yesterday. This is another great item from Calligaris, the Bubbles Mirror.
The mirror is made up of 8 mirrored circles in various sizes, with the space between made from either glossy white or black lacquer, ebony or my somewhat predictable favourite, the wenge.

Combining the current craze for wall stickers with eternally iconic scooter image is this Vespa Wall Sticker.
This wall decoration originates from France and is available in a choice of 39 different colours and five sizes. Prices range from £49 for a 100cm by 60cm sticker up to £181 for the massive 250cm by 150cm version. If the Vespa isn’t your preferred retro mode of transport, then the same range also include a Mini Cooper, VW Beetle and Citroen 2CV.

Jocelyn Proust's handpainted tiles have a distinctive 1970s feel. The floral designs above are typical of her bright and colourful work which also features more naturally inspired patterns including leaves and birds.
These tiles measure 100 x 200mm each and are ready mounted for display with a hanging on the back of each one. Jocelyn is based in Australia so each tile costs $30 AUD but you'll need to add shipping onto that.

Like the Estelle sideboard we featured last month, the Domino Sideboard combines the space-age white gloss with a warmer tone finish in one striking design.
The sideboard was designed by Marelli and Molteni for Italian company Calligaris. The sideboard consists of two side doors and two central doors. Matching storage cupboard and television unit are also available.
The Domino Sideboard costs £1,410 from Mac and Mac Interiors.
Surprisingly for a department store, John Lewis are encouraging their customers to be frugal this autumn. They're tapping into the Make-do-and-Mend trend this autumn and with a small booklet and practical classes at selected stores.
Their booklet is a collection of top thrift tips collected from their employees, rather than the reprint from the Imperial War Museum featured earlier this year. They've done a great job in packaging it up in retro style using lovely line drawings to illustrate the tips. It's on sale in their shops for £3, with all money going to John Lewis Foundation.
The classes take place at four selected John Lewis shops at end of this month and over October and they are encouraging you to bring along any clothes and accessories in need of updating. The classes are free to attend, though apparently you will be charged for materials used.

Like the Balmoral mugs featured last week, this apple memo board from Next clearly references Enzo Mari's 'La Mela'. Even without knowing its predecessor, its graphic red outline will stand out in any kitchen or hallway. Usefully it comes with five further apple shaped magnets, perfect for pinning up notes or photos, and a pen for scrawling messages across the board. The board costs just £22.
You may also be interested in the fruit patterned mugs in the left of the image which feature the same apple motif and also a corresponding pear design. A set of the four mugs is even more of a bargain at £7.
