Delia Derbyshire poster by Piper Gates Design

Delia

From the people who gave us the likes of the Joy Division and Syd Barrett colouring books, not to mention the Prisoner and Bedazzled posters comes the Delia Derbyshire poster by Piper Gates Design.

Who is Delia Derbyshire you ask? Well, you're unlikely to know unless you are a Doctor Who or vintage electronica fan. She was a pioneer of the latter and best-known for her work as part of the BBC Radiophonic Workshop, where she produced the famous Doctor Who theme, amongst other things.

This suitably '60s poster is limited to 45 copies, sized at 500mm x 700mm and printed on very high quality 194 gram paper, each one signed by the artist. £22.99 gets you one. See a shot of the poster on a wall over the page.

eBay watch: 1950s Morris Minor Convertible Splitscreen

Morris1

Seeing as the sun is out, we've tried to find something suitable for our eBay treasure today – and we think this 1950s Morris Minor Convertible Splitscreen fits the bill perfectly.

It's a gem of a motor, built in 1954 as a convertible (not a later custom job) and still going strong, perhaps thanks to the amount of money paid out by the current owner. Since he/she bought it in 202, they've spent £8,000 on doing the car up, including chassis restoration, a new hood and Newton Commercial half-hide front seats and general maintenance.

It's got an unleaded 948cc engine and an 'old English white' colour scheme, with the only fault being a 'hairline crack in the windscreen'. But replacement glass is included in the sale. Fancy it? Bidding is at £2,500. A shot of the interior over the page.

Fiell Fashion Sourcebook: 1920s

1920s sourcebook
Fiell Publishing launch a new book series with their Fiell Fashion Sourcebook: 1920s.

The series aims to examine the fashions of the twentieth century decade by decade. This book (as the name suggests) takes a look at the twenties. There's an introduction that puts the fashion into context before it heads onto the main reason for buying this book – the images. There's over 600 of them for inspiration, spread over the 576 pages of the book, including photographs, illustrations and advertising.

If this has fired your enthusiasm, you'll be pleased to hear the next in the series – looking at the fashions of the 1930s – is due out at the end of the June.

The book is currently available for £21.21 on Amazon.
