Adidas Jeans trainers get an exclusive Size? reissue

Jeans1

Last seen on the shelves back in February, the Adidas Jeans trainers have returned once more as a Size? exclusive.

As we said previously, Adidas Jeans was initially introduced in the late 70s, designed to be worn with jeans and was much-loved on the terraces in the years after. This version is faithful to the original, except for the exclusive navy/collegiate red colourway in suede.

Update: The colour pictured here is no longer available, but the Adidas Jeans have been reissued recently in two new colours. You can pick up both at the End Clothing website.

eBay watch: Large 1970s flip wall clock by E A Combs

Clock

We've featured plenty of vintage flip clocks in the past, but this large 1970s flip wall clock by E A Combs is up there with any of them.

Made by E A Combs of London, probably in the 70s, but possibly sneaking into the 80s, it's a large item, around 17 inches across, with the date and time and battery power to keep it ticking over. Downside? At 5kg+ in weight, you'll need to secure it well if you want it on your wall.

A few bids, but still well priced at £31.

Thankfully we now have modern retro choices like this Ginger Slinky Cape Dress from Topshop Maternity to keep you looking chic at all times.

The cape style dress has the draped glamour of a seventies frock with the practicality of late maternity clothing built right in. eBay watch: 1970s Adidas Perfekt GL trainers in mint condition

Perfekt

A sports shoe not seen very often – and right now you can secure these Adidas Perfekt GL trainers in their original box for a tasty £12.50.

According to the seller, this slimline shoe dates from the 70s, or possibly early 80s, made of a dark blue leather with lighter blue detailing and off white rubber sole.

They're a size seven and a half, described as 'as new' (possibly been worn once or twice) and looking incredibly sharp. If you're a collector or if it's your shoe size, worth a punt at that current £12.50 bid price. Lots more close-up shots at the listing page.

For sale: 1970s Frazer Crane-designed modernist house in Weston Road, Wilmslow, Cheshire

Wilm1

Contrary to popular opinion, it's not entirely 'grim up north'. Indeed, there's plenty of cash floating around if you happen to be in Cheshire – and you'll need a lot of it to buy this 1970s Frazer Crane-designed modernist house in Weston Road, Wilmslow, Cheshire.

If the name Frazer Crane means anything to you, it's perhaps because he was the man who designed George Best's modernist home in the 70s. Indeed, he was one of the few architects working to that style in the north of England during that period.
