eBay watch: 1960s Raleigh RM6 motorised bicycle

Raleigh

If you fancy riding to work, but don't fancy the legwork, this 1960s Raleigh RM6 motorised bicycle could be for you.

Looking not unlike the many retro-styled bicycles we've featured on here in the past, the RM6 dates back to 1966 and according to the seller, is is 'exceptional condition for the year'. Beneath that vintage exterior lurks a 50cc engine, which should be nippy enough for town and city commuting, with a horn, lights and a newly-added rear carrier (not pictured) helping you along.

It's taxed and MOT'd, with the price right now at £50 should you fancy it for your commute.

eBay watch: 1970s perpetual calendar

Perp

A great and useful design – and this 1970s perpetual calendar is available for a modest outlay.

But there is a catch – this calendar was made by Arlac in West Germany for the Dutch market, so some of the day and month titles might not quite be what you expect.

It's still a great piece of space age-style design though and is able to fit onto any wall. If you fancy it, the calendar is on a 'Buy It Now' for £29.

Panasonic Ellipse space age circular TV

Pana

It's a listing that leaves more questions than it offers answers, but we love the look of this Panasonic Ellipse space age circular TV.

Presumably from the 1960s, it has a stunning rounded shape, a chromed base and a large antenna. It's the TV The Jetsons would have owned. You know there's a 'but' coming. The listing is brief, the seller claims he has 'perfect sound', but couldn't check if the picture functions due to a lack of adapter and even though he's down as being based in Manchester, the shipping is from Hamburg.

But the big problem here is the starting price – £320 for a TV that may or may not be working. If the selling dropped that, it would certainly be worth investigating. If you want to take a chance, you can bid now.

eBay watch: Original low mileage 1980 Morris Marina car

Marina

A relic from a bygone era, this 1980 Morris Marina has had just one lady owner, with that owner driving it just 32,000 miles in 30 years. That's likely to be correct too, as the paperwork has 23 service stamps in the original booklet.

According to the seller, the 'velour upholstery is in perfect order' as are the original carpets and headlining. The car was also 'Zeibarted' from new, with the rust protector doing its job for 30 years. The odd touch up of paint, but nothing serious to look out for. The seller is even willing to deliver it…for a price.

It must be a collector's car of sorts because I've seen a procession of Marinas from a local club driving about my particular area. If you want to join your local club, bidding starts at just £50.

eBay watch: 1970s Philips Stereo 292 portable record player

Philips

Yes, we've dug up another vintage vinyl spinner, specifically this Philips Stereo 292 portable record player.

It's a rather cool piece of kit for not a lot of money. Battery or mains operated, the deck is portable, able to slot together should you need to carry it around. But when you need some tunes, remove those speakers for stereo sound on the go.

It plays 33/45 records, has slide controls for volume/tone for each speaker and according to the seller, it works and apart from a few fine age scratches, is in great condition too. Lots of close-up images of the player on the site, with bidding right now at just £1.

eBay watch: 1970s B&B Italia La Bambole sofa by Mario Bellini

Bellini

You just know it's going to be comfortable – but this B&B Italia La Bambole sofa by Mario Bellini is actually a design classic too.

It's a chunky piece, designed in 1976 by Bellini and remade today – but you'll be looking at well in excess of £2,000 to secure a reissued one, which makes this all the more of a steal, especially with a leather finish. The design itself is unusual, with no rigid supports, no traditional armrests, no base frame and no feet. Just a great place to flop into.

Condition is down as 'very good', with only minor scuffs due to age, but there are no rips or tears to the leather. It's also Signed with printed manufacturer's mark to underside: 'B&B Italia Modelo Le Bambole Designe Mario Bellini'. Price? Right now it's up at just 7p. Yes, you really did read that correctly.
