I can't say I've ever heard of the Electrohome space age audio system, but I like its wonderful space age looks.
Those looks are from a brushed aluminium base and stand, along with a tinted dome that holds the record player and an AM/FM radio. That's before we get to the speakers, which are pretty stylish in their own right.
Check the images on the site as there's obvious wear through age. But if you like it, you can bid now starting at $199.50 (£129.53).
We have featured one of these previously, but I'm flagging up this Robin Day 4-4000 armchair for Hille because of its unusual colour scheme and the cheap price.
The chair was made by Hille in the 1970s as part of a 'Living Theme' collection, which was pitched at a younger crowd and sold in cool places like Habitat. As you can, it's very much of its era.
Usually they're in cream (we have one in this colour), but the model on eBay is an unusual brown with contrast cord cushions (I think these are likely to be original too). An underrated space age gem and right now available for £99.
If you browse through contemporary design books and magazines from the 60s and 70s, you'll see the name Gordon Russell as much as the more familiar Merrow Associates. But it's a brand that hasn't really picked up interest in the modern era, despite the quality of the items the company produced. Which means something like this Gordon Russell teak sideboard can be picked up incredibly cheaply.
Dating back to the 1960s, it offers up that teak construction, three storage areas (one large, teo smaller that include drawers) and the company's logo so you know it's the real deal. One scratch on it, but according to the seller, it just fades into the grain.
So if you need some functional, well-made, vintage-style storage, it is worth a look – especially with that current £1.24 price tag. Yes, you read that right.
As some of you might recall, the retailer Size? is selling classic, limited edition Adidas Manchester trainers and tracktops for its 10th anniversary, some of which were sold instores over the weekend, the rest being sold online this morning.
If, like me, you were one of the people trying to buy some, you'll probably have found a frustrating and in the end, almost shambolic procedure. Being informed there was no stock at the end of the billing procedure (after previously securing some online), even getting a cancellation email after an order was confirmed. Not good at all.
But where there's demand, there is always supply – and a number of the lucky few have decided to stick their (not very) prized possessions straight onto the eBay website. So if you have money to spare, sellers are already asking anything between £100 and £300 for a pair of the £69.99 trainers. Yes, really. It's not quite a Verner Panton Moon light, but this Pine Moon light isn't a million miles away.
Pine is the material here, with the lampshade made of eight concentric pine laminates circles held by two vertical rods, a pine one at the bottom and another housing the bulb casing at the top. All can be adjusted for different lighting effects.
It is said to be in decent order, with a few age marks and is currently offered for a fraction of the price of Panton reissue. How much? Just 99 pence as I type.
We're quoting the seller's description of the product even though we're not convinced it's official gear, but there's no denying that the vintage Twiggy head clothes hangers on eBay right now have a look of the hip 60s model turned M&S saleswoman.
Two of these hangers are currently on eBay, along with another similar design from the same seller, all 'found on a estate sale in Nuremberg Germany' and likely to date from the 60s or possibly early 70s.
Some wear through age as you would expect on these plastic hangers, but right now, cheap enough. £3.22 each to be precise as a starting price, although you'll have to filter in postage from Germany too.
