We've featured various ways of re-using old milk bottles in the past, from vases to light shades. These Pintie Milk bottle milk jugs from Whosglass offer a use that's a bit closer to their original function. 

These bottles have been hand-manipulated and made into jugs. They retain their original decoration, so feature charming retro advertising like the one for Kellogg's cornflakes shown in the image above. Other bottles for sale feature adverts for Ready Break, as well as various tea and hot chocolate brands.

Lexon safe calculator

Lexon safe

We've featured the bamboo, retro-style Lexon Safe radio previously but the products in the range go beyond that piece to include clocks, flashlights and this calculator.

Designed by Elise Berthier and Pierre Garner, you can tell the calculator comes from the same design family as the radio. Its chunky keys and rounded edges give it that retro look while its got eco credentials too: solar powered and made from natural bamboo with a casing from corn starch bio-plastic. 

And the price for the calculator? It adds up to £21.40.

Searching for a retro look but with green credentials? Check out this wall clock which, believe it or not, is made from recycled plastic coffee cups.

Full marks for a the look of the clock: chunky white numbers, set onto a black clock face with a bright trim of red. And, as for the material, well apparently it's been developed so it has a nicer feel and look than plastic. You can buy one of the clocks for £25.95 and decide that for yourself.
