Amy Winehouse for Fred Perry collection now available to order online

Amy_winehouse

It's been flagged for months, with Fred Perry unwilling to even send us promotional shots in advance. But that doesn't matter now, as the Amy Winehouse Collection for Fred Perry is now online and available to buy.

It's all very 'retro', much of it with a late 50s, early 60s vibe, with a few OTT pieces throwing in some sensationalism. We've picked out a couple of pieces – to the left a Cropped Harrington Jacket with Prince of Wales Check body, black cotton sleeves, ribbed cuff and waistband and two front pockets, retailing for £195.

To the right, you'll see a Twin Tipped Shirt with deep five button placket, small stand up collar, twin tipping on collar, fixed turn-back cuffs and an embroidered Laurel Wreath. That goes for £55. You'll probably catch site if the Pencl Skirt and Capri Pants, selling for £80 and £95 respectively. Want to see more? Check it all out online right now.

60s Chanel-style suit at Matalan

Chanel

I'm guessing Matalan isn't the first place you would look for some retro style, but this dress and jacket just might fit the bill – and for very little money too.

Undoubtedly inspired by 1960s Chanel, it's a slinline tweed check shift-style dress, which is available on its own or with the short jacket in the same cloth, complete with twin pocket detailing.

Stock online seems a little thin, so you might want to check out your local store. Cheap enough at £28 for the jacket and £20 for the dress if you do find one though.

Flannel A-Line Skirt from Topshop

Flannelskirt

With the trend for nude shades across the catwalks in Summer 2010, the use of these neutral shades is still easy to find on the high street. That's ideal for those looking for a 60s retro aesthetic, with camel shades providing an equally mod alternative to monochrome colour schemes.

This Flannel Button A-Line Skirt from Topshop takes advantage of mid-sixties inpiration well, using a simple a-line shape and high waisted cut. The tab and button details provide some military influence, while the neutral shade of both allows for the subtle femininity to stay intact.
