Most still aren't what you call cheap, but the stunning Brionvega range is now discounted at Fab and well worth a browse.
Heading up the list is thew wonderful / stunning Radiofonografo, an update to the legendary design by Italian brothers Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni, which dates back to 1965. The new version has the same look, but the handmade system now has a record player, built-in speakers, a radio plus CD-DVD/MP3 player. It's now available for 4,690 Euros, which is much cheaper than UK retail prices. Might be free postage right now too, worth checking.
Also here are versions of the Radiocubo, another midcentury icon, this time updated with Wi-Fi and DAB radium along with Apple connectivity. They sell from 249 Euros right now. Also, check out the 1960s Grattacielo radio, again updated with USB connectivity, an LCD display and alarm functions. That's now 130 Euros.
