Woodenhouse

Looking to get away from the modern world for a week? The Wooden House in Aldeburgh, Suffolk can transport you back to the 1960s.

Built to a high specification in 1961, this wooden and open plan Colt bungalow still has many of the original 1960s bathroom and kitchen fittings, sympathetic furnishings of the period (including a large G-Plan dining table) and some modern-day luxuries to keep you amused, including Sky TV freeview,  a DVD player, barbecue and dishwasher. There’s also a large garden and off-road parking.

The house sleeps six people and is available to rent from  £690 to £1300 a week depending on the time of year. Shorter breaks are also available when there is late availability.
