Textile artist, Gunta Stölzl was the only female director at the Bauhaus. A number of her designs are currently available as limited edition rugs from Christopher Farr, including this one entitled Tapestry.

This is based on a design painted around 1926 and the original artwork is now on display at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.

No price is given for the rug, which means you can expect a high pricetag. Make enquiries via the Christoper Farr website.
