Quantbyquantbook

An interesting choice of title for a V&A reissue – the original 1960s biography of Mary Quant, going by the name of Quant by Quant.

You can buy a recent autobiography of the famed sixties designer, but this one dates from 1966, reprinted in full form in paperback, with an e-book version to follow. It also has a new cover, the one to the right above. The one on the left is the original '60s sleeve.

As for the book itself, it's all about the early days of Mary Quant up until her (arguable) peak in the swinging London era – growing up, her early life and career with husband and business partner Alexander Plunket Greene, her first boutique in 1955 and the international fame that followed. You also get the original images from the book, which is a nice bonus.

You can get a paperback copy from Amazon for £8.09, with the e-book likely to be here before the year is out.
