Of course, it is Star Wars Day tomorrow (May 4th of course), but I am getting in a little early with the Star Wars Darth Vader kettle.

That’s right. Just when you think Star Wars merchandising can’t get anymore odd or surreal, it does. Brewing up in Darth Vader’s head.

Actually this isn’t a ‘plug in the wall and forget about it’ kettle. This is a stovetop kettle in the shape of Darth Vader’s helmet, officially licensed, made of stainless steel and with a capacity of 1.7 litres (if the latter is a selling point). Oh and it has a whistle too. That’s something the original helmet never boasted. Or if it did, it was never utilised very much in the movie series.

Note that it is good for all hobs, with the exception of induction hobs and apart from that…well, it’s a kettle. You’ll know if you want one or not.

The other deciding factor is the price. The Darth Vader kettle sells for £49.99.
