A strong retro look and power to get you around. The Tempus Titan vintage-style electric bike looks a winner to me.
I really should do a round-up of this kind of bike, as there is quite a number available to buy right now. It’s a winning formula. If you need something more eco-friendly for getting around. Not as eco-friendly as pedal power obviously, but better than getting there in a diesel car.
There is a choice of a 500w or 1000w motor (which impacts on price). If you go for the top model, you get a top speed of 28mph and a range of over 40 miles per charge. The removable lithium-ion battery takes about 4-5 hours to fully charge.
You also get a colour LCD screen showing the time, speed, range and battery percentage, with an option t use password protection for starting up too. All of that – and that’s before we get to the design itself.
It’s a bike designed to look like something from the early days of motorbike riding, complete with a fake petrol tank and leather seat. The bike is made from aircraft-grade steel and with a large LED light on the front plus two rear lights.
Want one? They don’t come cheap. But these things rarely do. The lower-level model is $2,499.99 and the top-end model is $2,899.99.

My didn’t they build the battery into the tank for design?
