Hans Wegner 1960s special edition CH445 wing chair

Ch445

Currently top of my wish list, the Hans Wegner CH445 wing chair is now available as a special edition.

The special edition, if you've not guessed, is the Blue Series, with the seat available in a light blue (above) or a petrol blue finish. Aside from that, this gem from 1960 (a related design to the equally cool Ox Chair) has a stainless steel underframe and ample upholstery for your comfort, should you be considering it for an afternoon doze.

£2,787 will secure you one.

Andrew Tanner’s Sayings in Stitch mugs

Sayings in stitch

Andrew Tanner has given the old-fashioned art of the sampler an update for twenty-first century with his Sayings in Stitch mugs.

These designs bring together some of the finest British traditions: a fine craft heritage and a quintessentially British saying, combined with the enjoyment of a good mug of tea! Each mug features a different saying, presented as if it has been embroidered onto the mug. As well as the pictured opportunity to discuss the finer points of the North versus South debate, other designs feature phrases like 'Ay up me duck' and 'lovely jubbly'.

The mugs cost £14 each.

Oluce Fresnal 1960s outdoor floor lamp by Joe Colombo

Fresnel

Not his most eye-catching design, but the Oluce Fresnal outdoor floor lamp by Joe Colombo is certainly a useful addition to your garden.

Dating back to 1966, think of it as a very cool lamp post for your garden, the pole being zinc-plated and painted black, while the Fresnel lens diffuser on top offers up that glowing beacon.

Two sizes available (as well as a pole-free version for your wall), with prices starting at £154.

Darling Clementine and Ferm Living Marionette cushions

DCforFermLiving

Back last year we showed you some of Darling Clementine's 70s cards and notebooks. The company has now teamed up with another Retro To Go favourite Ferm Living to introduce some of their distinctive artwork into the home with the Marionette cushions

The cushions feature four of their typically colourful characters: Frank Fox, Elle Elephant, Posy Panda and, the one with the best name, Aristo Katt. Although they are aimed at kids, I reckon a couple could sneak a few into your living room quite happily too.

The cushions cost 29.95 Euros each.

Ingo Maurer Warhol-inspired Canned wall light

Maurer

We flagged up a ceiling version back in 2007, but now you can get also pick up the Ingo Maurer Canned wall light, which is great news for fans of pop art and soup.

It's Warhol-inspired lighting, but it doesn't derive from the 1960s. The Canned light is actually from 2003, the work of Christoph Matthias and Hagen Sczechimu for Ingo Maurer. For your money you get the Campbell's tomoato soup can (made from aluminium and steel) complete with bulb, reflector, distinctive cabling and switch.

£185 secures you one, which isn't a bad price for a piece of practical pop art.

Arne Jacobsen AJ Wall Light for Louis Poulsen gets 50th anniversary reissue

Arne_wall

A couple of weeks back, we featured the Arne Jacobsen 50th anniversary AJ floor and table lamps by Louis Poulsen. One thing was missing from the reissue – but now the Arne Jacobsen AJ Wall Light for Louis Poulsen is back on the market.

Newly-reissued for 2010 in an all-new colour range (based on Jacobsen's original colour concept), this 1960s design offers up those cool midcentury looks, as well as the asymmetric conical shaped head for 'directing' the light, the option to tilt, a stylish luminaire backplate and switch along with a steel construction and 'wet' paint finish.

A 40w bulb provides the light and the price is just under £357.
