1970s Stelton Press Coffee Maker by Erik Magnussen

Stelton

The Stelton Vacuum Jug is a design classic that has featured before on these pages. But that 1977 gem has been reworked, returning as the Stelton Press Coffee Maker.

Using the original design developed by Erik Magnussen from his classic Vacuum Jug, the Press Coffee Maker has all the same design features, but rather than just keeping things hot/cold, it instead brews up to eight cups of coffee at a time. Although it does retain that 'keep warm' function thanks to the double walls.

Available in black, red and white, the Press Coffee Maker comes complete with a measuring spoon and instructions. You can buy one now for just £39.95.

Paul Smith re-works 1960s Arne Jacobsen-designed Stelton Cylinda bar set

Smith_stelton

Essentially this is the same Arne Jacobsen-designed Stelton Cylinda bar set that was first seen back in 1967. But Paul Smith has added his own twist, re-launching it as the company's Statement Bar Set.

It's a limited edition for 2010 to celebrate Stelton's 50th anniversary, containing an ice bucket with tongs, jug with ice lip, six glass coasters, cocktail mixer with spoon, a cocktail shaker and a serving tray, with construction primarily from stainless steel with a titanium surface – that black colour you can see on the image.

It's all finished off with a collection of statements by the British designer himself. Price? Well, it's a lot more than the coffee set we featured on eBay last week – the price is £1,500.

eBay watch: 1960s Stelton Cylinda Line Coffee Set by Arne Jacobsen

Cylinda

A 60s classic and as it stands, this Stelton Cylinda Line Coffee Set is a real giveaway.

Designed by Arne Jacobsen back in 1967 and still in production today, this particular set is described as 'old stock and genuinely unused', although it's worth noting that the tray and spoon are not Stelton, 'but the service was retailed in this way'.

Even so, this is an absolute bargain at its current £5.50 price. Check online for the price of the pieces new, that should show how much of a steal it really is.
