Super Living Amanda Ceramics

Amanda
Danish design house Super Living has produced the decidedly retro Amanda Ceramics collection.

The design features black baton shapes with coloured dots in either tomato red or aqua blue, against a white china background. The collection consists of tea cups, latte mugs (which must be the latest thing in ceramics as I’ve seen a few of these suddenly) and bowls. The tea cups cost £9, latte mugs £11.50 and bowls £12.

Polkka Jam is the work of a Finnish duo and this design is typical of their work. It features patterned and colourful kitchenware with more than a little touch of retro style. Some of their other designs feature stacked tea cups and even a decorative tea urn. In fact, you're bound to find something that's just your cup of tea.

The tea towel costs 16.50 Euros.

London Folk Mugs from Our Workshop

Folk mugs

Got your London traybag and lunchbox? If you really do love London town, you're sure to want to complete your collection with these London Folk Mugs from Our Workshop

Far removed from tourist tat, these mugs are actually quite classy little fellows – in fact they remind me of the work of Kenneth Townsend and his London series of tiles from the late 60s/early 70s. Each mug features a simple illustration of three characters of London – the Yeoman, the Royal Guard and a policeman – beautifully depiciting their iconic outfits, and their fine moustaches.

A mug costs £12.

Nautical tea cup and saucer from welovekaoru

Nautical mug

Nautical looks are a long standing staple for retro clothing scene and they seem to be moving slowly into homewares – probably because historically most things used on boats are practical but not pretty. This nautically inspired tea cup and saucer made by welovekaoru happily fulfils both those categories.

While the old-fashioned looking anchor bearing the words 'Steady as she goes' taps into the trend for designs bearing sailor-style tattoos, the hand-painted blue stripe against the white of the cup and saucer keeps it looking nice and fresh. It's the perfect thing for teaming with one of the many sailor inspired outfits out there.

The tea cup and saucer costs £22.
