Cléo Ferin Cleopatra Scarf

Cleo

This chic silk scarf from London-based designer Cléo Ferin reinvents an iconic film image as a luxe-fashion item. Featuring Elizabeth Taylor in 1963's "Cleopatra" surrounded by intricate black and blue swirls and gold embellishment it has a charming naive style that references the classic Hermès tradition.

Ferin designs clothes, accessories and patterns and this scarf is from her "Six Female Icons" collection. It's 100% silk with hand-rolled edges, measures 65cm x 65cm and comes packaged in a foiled gift box.

It costs £65 and you can buy it here.

eBay watch: 1950s Strand Patt 123 theatre lamp

Theatre_lamp

Once a functional object for stage and screen, this Strand Patt 123 theatre lamp is now ideal for an interesting retro feature in your home.

According to the seller, the Patt 123 was first used in 1957 in stage and studio work, with this particular model professionally polished and rewired to take modern domestic bulbs, as well as being mounted on a tripod stand which rotates 360 degrees. Check out some of the detail shots on the seller's page – the full-length images don't perhaps do it justice.

Still a good few days to go with it, £5.50 is the current price.

Cherry Print Dress by Dolce & Gabbana

Cherrydg

Cherry prints have become one of a few fabric choices that go hand in hand with retro fashion nowadays. Most often appearing in fifties styles, Dolce & Gabbana have taken the print forward to a sixties look with this Cherry Print Shift Dress.

The shift is kept classic in silhouette and cut, allowing for an all over print to look chic and stylish. With a high neckline countering the mini hem and sleeveless look, the shift flatters the figure without looking too tight or trashy to be truly sixties inspired.

It's available online in the UK from Matches Fashion for £320.

Green Lady print by Miss Swanne

20091020140755
This isn't the first Tretchikoff-inspired piece we've featured of late but with the original print becoming harder to find at a realistic price, the wave of contemporary interpretations is set to continue.

With the Green Lady print, illustrator Miss Swanne has saturated the more muted hues from Tretchikoff's famous 1950 'Chinese Girl' painting, giving the piece a pleasing pop art revamp.

The Green Lady print is A3 size and is £95 from Boxbird gallery website.
