According to the Der Spiegel site, BMW's Mini offshoot is moving into the scooter market. Specifically the electric scooter market – and with a retro twist.
As you can see from the image above, the company has already given the 'mod treatment' to one of its new bikes, described as 'a new generation of scooters', which will be unveiled at the Paris Motor Show. The mod version is described as the 'Anglophile' and is being pitched at 'modern-day mods'. Eco-friendly ones anyway.
Is it a mobile phone from the 1980s? Or is it an MP3 player? Well, as the name suggests, the USB Retro Mobile MP3 Player from Brando is the latter, but shaped like the former.
Yes, shaped like a 'brick' phone, it actually plays your MP3/WMA files, holds a microSD card for storage and hooks up to your PC via USB. There's even an FM radio and rechargeable battery to finish things off.
What do all those buttons do? No idea, but you can have fun finding out. The price is $23 from Brando directly, which is a paltry £14.66.
It's not something you see around too much these days, but the duffle bag is back from a rather unexpected source – Lyle & Scott.
Better-known as makers of heritage knitwear and casual gear, the company is also selling this eye-catching bag in a shade of 'french blue', complete with trademark Golden Eagle and white rope cord fastening.
