I'm not overly keen on some of the Fila reissues from the 70s and 80s, but this Fila Dordoni bomber jacket does have an understated charm.
The badge and matching zip pull make this unmistakably a Fila item, but aside from that, it's a smart, vintage-style, lightweight, waterproof bomber jacket complete with contrast knitted cuffs, collar and hem.
Limited numbers available, all selling for a reasonable £69.
The Lauren Rennells Vintage Hairstyling book was popular a year or so back, so we suspect Style Me Vintage – Easy Step-By-Step Techniques For Creating Classic Hairstyles by Belinda Hay will be equally well-received.
It claims to be everything you'll need to create vintage hairstyles from the 1930s to the 1960s, offering those step-by-step instructions, detailed photographs of the styles in question and a few tips and techniques to get things just right.
A hardback book with 112 pages from Pavilion, it's out on 4th October 2010, with Amazon now doing discounted pre-orders at £7.49.
A 60s classic and as it stands, this Stelton Cylinda Line Coffee Set is a real giveaway.
Designed by Arne Jacobsen back in 1967 and still in production today, this particular set is described as 'old stock and genuinely unused', although it's worth noting that the tray and spoon are not Stelton, 'but the service was retailed in this way'.
Even so, this is an absolute bargain at its current £5.50 price. Check online for the price of the pieces new, that should show how much of a steal it really is.
Interesting architecturally, but this midcentury-inspired house in Gilston, Hertfordshire will also make a very cool home if you happen to have the significant asking price available. Sadly, we don't.
Designed in 1960 by the architecture department of the renowned building firm Helmer & Dyer (for the occupation of Mr. Helmer), it's a detached four or five-bedroom house, which has been the subject of 'extensive and meticulous' renovation. Thankfully there's still plenty of interest left – large bespoke picture windows, hardwood detailing and a Bath-stone open fireplace for example.
The Steve McQueen-inspired Tag Heuer Monaco has ruled the roost for years when it comes to Le Mans-related watches, but here's another tasty and related timepiece that's a fraction of the price – the C70 Aston Martin DBR1 watch by Christopher Ward.
It celebrates Aston Martin's victory at Le Mans in 1959, with details, including the winning Aston Martin DBR1's livery, incorporated into the design of the watch, which is limited to just 500 pieces worldwide.
One of the strangest kid's movie ever made is heading to DVD for the very first time – Magic Roundabout's Dougal and the Blue Cat movie, which dates from 1972.
Like the TV shows, it was created in France by Serge Danot, then re-written in English by Eric Thompson, with Thompson himself did all the voices, except one – the creepy Madame Blue, which was voiced by Fenella Fielding. The story? Well, let's just say a Blue Cat called Buxton causes havoc in the Magic Garden, the friends ending up in a dungeon, while Dougal ends up on the Moon. Can he save the day?
You probably know the answer to that. This newly-restored version is out via Second Sight, packed with extras including interviews with Emma Thompson, Sophie Thompson, Fenella Fielding and Mark Kermode plus the French version, complete with English subtitles and a stills gallery. Amazon is doing pre-orders ahead of the 1st November release, the price is £9.93.
