Orchard

Check out all the ranges at the website, with prices vartinh according to your choice of item and design. But as a quick guide, that oil cloth is £17.50 per metre, while a cushion on the same design sells for £20.

Lego Lights Torch

Lego_torch

Yes, it's more Lego, but the Lego Lights Torch does at least perform a very practical function.

But let's look at the fun bit first. This is a 19cm-tall Lego man, officially licensed and posable, so you can use him as an ornament or desktop buddy. But when the darkness falls, that in-house companion lights up with a touch of the logo, shining LED Light through one of its feet, enough to see you through a fusebox emergency for sure.

Powered by 3x AAA batteries, the Lego Lights Torch sells for £14.99.

Limited edition Quilts stool at the V&A

Quilts

The V&A is currently hosting its Quilts 1700 – 2010 exhibition and as with most exhibitions, offering a selection of associated merchandise too. Which includes this rather smart limited edition Quilts stool.

The shape is very much early 20th century (think Alvar Aalto's Stool 60), with the design on the birch veneer top adapted from a patchwork coverlet of printed cotton and linen with appliqué and embroidery, dating from the early part of the 19th century. Just in case you were wondering.

That top is supported by metal legs and the whole thing is being sold as a limited edition, although it's not clear just how limited it is. Reasonably priced though at £50.

Ramblas table linen range from Designers Guild

Ramblas-nakin-tablelinen-main

Think of Barcelona and you'll probably think hot and colourful. That pretty much sums up the new Barcelona collection from Designers Guild which includes the Ramblas table linen.

Reminiscent of some of the 50s designs from the V&A's reissued Horrockses range, the range uses a print of a retro style rose with a graphic black outline contrasting with the bright and vibrant colours used for the rose. All the linen is given a smart green and black printed border too.

Printed onto 100% cotton, the range includes napkins and place mats, as well as table cloths. If you like the design, it's also available on bed linen.

The napkins and placemats are priced at £30 for a set of four of each, while table sets start at £85.

Random retail designs

Random retail

Random Retail produce cotton cushions and tote bags based on the typography of vintage signs.

The two designs show are a couple of examples from their collection. The bag on the left reproduces an advert for a furniture auction in Bembridge in 1923, offering everything from settees to a rowing boat. It's available in red, green, blue and grey and, as a nice touch, the back of the back shows an old bus timetable for getting to Bembridge. In contrast, the cushion shows a sign for alerting the fire brigade, slightly adapted for the cushion design.

Random Retail's bags cost £22 while the cushions cost £30.
