I Love London and I Love Recycling limited edition large metal prints by Sir Peter Blake

Blake2

Some time back, we highlighted the rather cool wall signs featuring Sir Peter Blake's I Love London and I Love Recycling design. Well, even better, there are now giant metal prints of the designs available – but in very limited numbers.

Printed onto recycled tin (to fit in with the theme), each one is signed and numbered by the artist, with the London print limited to 75, while the Recycling print is in a run of just 25, both sized at 62 x 81cm – the largest tin prints Blake has ever produced.

Keep Your Teeth Clean 1930s print

Keep your teeth clean

It's a message that never loses its importance and must have been said in hundreds of different ways over the years, not least in this unusual 1930s Keep Your Teeth Clean print

The striking design looks quite contemporary but in fact was designed in 1938 in America to promote good oral hygiene. The poster has been selected from the images in the massive archive of the Library of Congress and reproduced by a company called Wallblank. Take a look at their selection of 'vintage' prints for more images in this line, alongside more familiar wartime designs and the See America range of posters.

The print costs between $14 and $24 depending on the size required.

Crabbing_lg_framed_large

With weather this warm, the sensible thing seems to be to try and head to the coast. This Let's Go Crabbing print, available at Coastal Creatives, is perfect for the summer, celebrating the Great British seaside resort and one of its great traditions.

The hand-pulled screen print shows a nostalgic image of a sign advertising crabbing. The image is saved from being too twee by the bright red print. The same series of prints also includes signs selling ice creams and other tasty goodies or advertising surf hire. Everything you need to recreate that holiday feel at home.

The print comes unframed and costs £36.
